Installation & Fitting
How difficult is it to install a TruFlame wall-mounted fire?
Our wall-mounted fires are designed for quick, hassle-free mounting. Most models use a simple, heavy-duty wall bracket included in the box. If you can mount a television or put up a sturdy shelf, you can install our wall-mounted fires.
Can I see the installation instructions before I buy?
Absolutely. We believe in complete transparency. Scroll to the bottom of any product page on our website to find a downloadable instruction manual. You can review the exact steps, clear measurements, and technical requirements before adding the fire to your basket.
What is the difference between an Inset fire and a Media Wall fire?
- Inset Fires: Designed to slide neatly into a pre-cut cavity space (hole) in a wall. They sit completely flush against the surface for a sleek, minimalist finish.
- Media Wall Fires: Engineered for modern stud-wall installations. They offer total flexibility, allowing you to configure the glass to show 1, 2, or 3 sides depending on your design preference.
Do you sell the complete wooden or plasterboard media wall structures?
No. We only sell the premium electric fireplaces. We do not sell, supply, or construct the media wall structures themselves. This specialist focus allows us to keep our fireplace prices unbeatable, while giving you or your builder total freedom to custom-design your stud work.
Do I need a fully qualified electrician to install my fire?
No complex wiring is required for standard setups. Our fires come ready to plug into a standard UK mains socket. However, if you are building a media wall and want to hide the cables permanently behind the stud work, we recommend hiring a local qualified electrician to install a recessed socket.
